There Is Hope

Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Question: Where does hope exist in your life? Answer: Everywhere all the time.

Hope exists when we apply God's wisdom and will to our lives. He knows what we are going through, and He has already provided for our needs. It is our responsibility to apply His wisdom amid this Covid-19 crisis. What can you do?

Wait - Impatience is your greatest enemy. While this time may not be the best of situations, wait.

While you are waiting, take the time to talk to God, worship Him, and read His Word. If you ground yourself in your faith, you will find the strength.

Don't Ignore your church. Just because the world has come to a halt doesn't mean your church has. If anything, they are working harder now than ever before. Continue to give and help as much as you can.

You are the church. Join your church's online services as they are broadcast. Invite others to join you online. The church isn't closed.

Be hope! If you want hope, give it away to others. God will never stop giving you as much hope as you need.

Don't hoard supplies - share.

Listen to people. All they need is someone to vent at. Often they will fix their problems if they have someone to listen to.

Tell the truth. Before you share information, double-check that it is accurate. Stop rumors in their tracks.

Pray with people. They want someone to pray with them.

Connect with others through Zoom, Facetime, or some other video app. Seeing another smiling face is reassuring.

Speak hope into people's lives. Tell them where you find strength and that they can find it too.

PRAY: Dear Jesus, this is a tough time, and I could use your help. AMEN.
