You know them. You can answer your door from anywhere in the world. But most likely, you are doing to do it from your living room, out of sight.

People have been known to get shot just for knocking on a door. Not good.

But when your doorbell rings, are you home?

1 Peter 3:14 -16 (NLT)

The crucial part of that verse is, “And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”

We get caught up in our busyness. Do we stop and take the time to share our lives with someone in Jesus’ Name? Maybe it is a quick prayer or just a word of comfort. Perhaps we will clear our schedule and sit down for a cup of coffee.

Take the time to think about how many people are knocking at your door today.

Dear Jesus, help me to be ready to open the door and receive people who need me today.
