Are you building the Kingdom of God or a personal empire?
Give away some ice cream coupons from your favorite ice cream place. It’s hot outside, and no one is going to say no.
Know any golfers? Give away some tees. They are affordable.
You were created to be significant. But where does that significance come from? Does it come from knowing that you are a good person? Because you are “making” yourself a better person?
John 17:3 says, “And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.” (NLT)
Your relationship with God adds value.
Think of it this way. You go to the bank, and you deposit a million dollars. A lot of money, right? But you never go back to the bank and withdraw one penny. Why? Because the money had no value to you. Would you treat your relationship with God this way? Just existing but untouched?
Work on the daily habit or rhythm of drawing closer to Christ by loving and knowing Him. This gives you significance and value. We are no longer just a “person” walking on the face of this earth. We are the apple of His eye, valuable, wanted, and needed. (Ps. 17:8)
Dear Jesus, let me know how much You love me today. AMEN
