KINGDOM BUILDERS PART 2

Are you building the Kingdom of God or a personal empire?

I challenge you with a couple of ideas on how to serve others. Why not try one of these on for size today?

Go to a local car wash (the kind you do yourself) and leave some quarters above the payment slot.

Text or email someone you know with a compliment or just an encouragement for a situation they are going through.

Buy someone's lunch. Get a gift card to a local restaurant and give it away to anyone.

You were created to be significant. Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (NLT)

We compare what we have done to what others have done. It's like a crayon comparing itself to a pencil saying, "I wish I had a sharper point." But the pencil says, "I wish I could draw in colors." We spend so much time trying to be successful that we miss the secret to significance.

We are God's workmanship, masterpiece, and creation. We were created for good works. But who are those good works for? Ourselves? No, they are for others. He planned for us to be in service to each other and the people around us in advance.

People say, "Well, I don't know if God wants me to." Yes, He did. He planned it before you were ever born.

Dear Jesus, help me let Your goodness flow from my life into someone else's. AMEN.
