Saying "no" to the devil is fundamental to our faith. But what hell would like for you to believe is either that you can't do it or you shouldn't.
1 Peter 5:8 says Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (NLT)
Pay attention!! Satan wants to destroy you, every part of your life, and everyone you are associated with. Then, to add insult to injury, he wants you to burn in hell forever.
So - stop him!
James 4:7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (NLT)
This verse underscores the idea that our strength to resist the devil comes from our submission to God and His authority.
Recognize God as your only source of strength, life, and hope, then submit in obedience to God BEFORE you tell Satan to stop it!
Dear Jesus, I need Your strength because, without You, I will never be able to resist the enemy. I can't do this by myself. AMEN
