As promised, I am going to expound on the 10 principles that will add value to your life, your family, and your giving.
PEOPLE ARE VALUABLE AND WORTH IT.
Did Jesus die so you could make more money? Nope.
Did Jesus die so you could be happier? Not really, even though you can experience joy now.
Did Jesus die so you could be popular and loved by everyone? No.
John 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (NLT) (Emphasis mine.)
Jesus died for everyone, then he told us to love them too. John 13:34
You are the most valuable thing in the universe to God. So is the person that drives you crazy. So is that other person that triggers your anger. So is that person who lied to you. Shall I go on?
When we see people as Jesus sees them, we can value them as He does.
Satan goes out of his way to destroy your hope in God, then in others. Once that is accomplished, then destroying hope in your heart is easy.
But what does this have to do with giving?
- Give time to pray for people who need Jesus the most. Do so with grace and mercy.
- Give wisdom to people who need Jesus the most. Maybe they will hear it, maybe not. But you know what will happen to them if you don't share God's love with them gently and lovingly.
- Give financially to help the church reach people who are deemed unlovable. But here is an all-important fact to note. Don't give to excuse yourself from loving them. Give because you love them.
Dear Jesus, help me to value everyone around me today with Your love and grace. AMEN,
