What is your Promise Land?
Why not step into your circle and believe God to answer prayer?
Why not march around your Jericho and believe God will make a way?
Why not believe in something that only God can do?
Fear
Why were the previous generation of Israelites prevented from entering the dream God had promised them? Fear.
Fear of rejection.
Fear of being misunderstood.
Fear of being made fun of.
Fear of being told that you're being stupid.
Fear of failing God.
Fear of failing yourself or your family.
Fear of . . .
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but of power, love, and self-discipline.
Easier said than done, right?
Captain Obvious.
You have probably seen the commercials for hotels.com where Captain Obvious points out some self-evident facts about the company.
But are you playing the part too? Are you seeing some self-evident fact about your prayer, dream, and Jericho that scares you? Maybe it is intimidating you, even mocking you.
Ignore it. God knows what is going on. Leave the obvious to Him. You're praying for a miracle, and with it happens, that will be super-obvious.
What to pray for today.
Pray for people who are keeping their faith in the face of fear. Pray for a supernatural faith that will energize them and give them more hope.
