This one got me. God challenged me to write a list of "impossible" prayer requests. I was humbled by doing this, but I didn't understand that God was angry with what I wrote down. I think that He is in them.
Joshua and the Israelites have to march around Jericho.
Daniel has to go into the Lion's den.
I like the quote that Mark gives in The Circle Maker. Amazon Apple Books
"Prayer and imagination are directly proportional: the more you pray, the bigger your imagination becomes because the Holy Spirit supersizes it with God-sized dreams."
My list isn't big "pie-in-the-sky" stuff. Well, some of it is. But some of it is deeply personal too. God-sized dreams do not exclude you. But they will require you to grow in faith and life.
Daniel prayed for something he knew he would never see in his lifetime—the restoration of the nation of Israel. The Old Testament leaders prayed for something they hoped they would see in their lifetime but didn't—the coming Messiah - Jesus.
I'm not praying to change my life. I am praying to change everyone else's too. I pray that whole family trees change because of what God wants to do through me and FFWC.
What are you praying for? You should take a moment to sit down and answer that question. Better yet, ask God that question and see what He has to say.
What to pray for today.
Pray for today's services at FFWC. That everyone comes ready to worship God. I believe God is going to do something great today.
