4 Ways To Get Out of Trouble
BIBLE READING: Titus 2:11 - 15 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. 15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
What does this passage mean to you?
BLOG: What do you do for help? Do you call someone you know? Do you pray? Do you stop and think it through? Here is a secret about trouble you may not know. It will make you humble. Sometimes people, out of pride, will do the wrong thing rather than seeking help. This is why Jesus told us to humble ourselves to one another. That way, when we need help, we wouldn't be afraid to ask for it.
Is time your enemy? - Proverbs 19:2 Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.
When you're in trouble, don't make a hasty decision. Do not be afraid to say the word - NO. Don't be scared to say - WAIT. If time is getting pushy, then call a friend.
Call that lifeline. - Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
If you have to make a call, say. "I'm in real trouble, and I need your help, can you help me?" I understand that there are different levels to this conversation. But I am speaking to the person who hasn't or is afraid to ask. Just take a deep breath and make the call. Be honest, answer their questions, and listen.
Don't get in more trouble. - Proverbs 10:17 Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray
Two wrongs don't make it right. Don't make a decision that gets you into more trouble. That being said, I know that you may feel like its push come to shove, but most likely it isn't.
Why should I talk to others? - Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
Feelings, everyone has them, and when you're in trouble, they will scream in your ears. Talking to others will help calm your fears and regain strength in your situation.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, I'm in trouble, and I need your help. AMEN.
