It Doesn’t Matter
BIBLE READING: 2 Tim. 2:11-13 The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.”
What does this passage mean to you?
BLOG: It’s the end of the day and as I sit here I recall how the day went.
One part of me thought, “Wow! You got a lot done today.” But another part of me said, “But you didn’t get enough done today.” I don’t know if you have those kind of thoughts, but as I finish the day I have to choose. And the winner is . . . . . . . Neither!
It doesn’t matter.
Psalms 121:3-4 “He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”
God is watching over you and me 24/7. He will never ignore you or nod off, not even for a second.
What matters to me right now is that as I get ready for bed, my God is watching over me and my family. What I did or didn’t do today doesn’t matter, who will think of these things 6 years from now? No one. But 6 years from now I will be thinking how my God has been faithful to watch over and care for me each and every day.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, I’m not going to stress over today, I am going to be thankful for what You are going to do in my life. AMEN.
