BIBLE READING: 2 Tim 2: 15 - 18 15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 16 Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior. 17 This kind of talk spreads like cancer, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus. 18 They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith.
What does this passage mean to you?
BLOG: So, if you work on the internet, or with software, you know that you get these messages, notifications, upgrades, and patches all the time. "We're making your experience better." Or "This is going work faster. Now" It doesn't matter why, if you don't upload the upgrade, eventually everything will shut down.
So one of those messages appeared today about this blog. I clicked the message, and it said, "Blah, blah, blah, blah." I will not waste your time with the details. But then it led me to another page which did pique my interest. Since I started writing this blog a few years ago, over 373,000 people have visited it. In internet terms, that isn't a lot. Some people get that many hits in a day. But for me, WOW! I didn't know that - that made my day!
So what can make your day better?
Stop Worrying; it isn't helping. Matthew 6:27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
Show mercy to someone. Let them in traffic when no one else will. Let them cut ahead of you in line. You've got the time. Smile!!!! Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Be grateful. Look around you right now and find something to be thankful for. Can't think of anything? Be grateful you have air to breathe. Psalm 50:23 The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me;
Say something nice to someone. A few days ago, my daughter was wearing a pretty dress. In Starbucks, a lady walked up to her and complimented her on it. It made her day. Proverbs 16:24 Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul, and health to the body.
PRAY: Dear Jesus help me to take the action I need to take to make my day better. AMEN
