BIBLE READING: 2 Tim. 2: 22 - 26 22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. 23 Again I say, don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. 24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. 25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth. 26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil's trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.
What does this passage mean to you?
BLOG: Isaiah 43:18-19 18 "Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
Tomorrow is Monday. I know, I know it's terrible. I take Mondays off. After a full day of ministry on Sunday, I am usually a knuckle-dragging neanderthal on Monday. So I do stuff that doesn't require must thinking and drink a lot of coffee.
But with this in mind, what can you do to make tomorrow better?
Stop believing what other people tell you about your day. "Today is going to be a bad day." "Today is going to be a waste of our time." These are self-fulfilling prophecies. Instead, say, "I'm going to get more done today than anyone else." "Today's a great day to get stuff done."
Buy someone's coffee. Just get in line at Starbucks and pay for the person coffee behind you. I know, risky - but you'll feel better for it. (FYI - get out of there before they can catch you.) Also, it can be a Mcmeal or some other drive-thru. You choose.
Send a happy text. "Good morning, sunshine!" Or "Have a great day!" It may not seem much, but it can make a difference.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, help me make today a better day. AMEN
PS: I am a little annoyed with my website provider. I scheduled this post to go up yesterday. It has worked before, but for some reason, it didn't. Back to the drawing board.
