BIBLE READING: 1 Tim. 1:18 - 20 18 Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord's battles. 19 Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked. 20 Hymenaeus and Alexander are two examples. I threw them out and handed them over to Satan so they might learn not to blaspheme God.
BLOG: It's Sunday afternoon and since I blogged last time the conditions and track of Hurricane Dorian have changed. It's anybody guess right now.
Who is in control? God is in control.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Natural disasters and calamity happened just like they do today. But in those days you didn't have insurance, FEMA, or the government to help. People relied on each other. Whatever this storm decides to do, let's remember.
God is in control.
He is our provider.
We are here for each other.
Someone will need our help.
Jesus will never leave us or forget us.
Patience will be required of us.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, be with everyone is preparing to go through this storm. Push it out to sea and let no harm come to anyone else. AMEN
