No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No,

BIBLE READING: Col 3: 12 - 15 12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

BLOG: A friend of mine posts a series of signs that said. No Parking, No Exit, No Trespassing. His comment was, "If you could legally change your first or last name to 'NO,' imagine how different your life would be. You would legally gain preferred parking, e, its and special privileges because of you being a 'NO.'" I chuckled at the thought.

The Bible uses the word, "NO" frequently. Have NO other Gods. Say NO to temptation. Say NO to fear. Say NO to worry and anxiety.

Without changing your name, I believe you can improve the quality of your life by saying, NO. As someone wise once said, "Every time you say YES to something, remember you're saying NO to something else."

I would submit that the joy and hope you want in life doesn't come from what you say YES to, but what you say NO to. When you say NO to anger, rage, gossip, criticism, greed, materialism, compromise, doubt and quitting, you say yes to love, healing, joy, life, contentment, happiness, security, integrity and a fantastic future.

Jesus told Satan NO when He was tempted. For that, He enjoyed a powerful ministry that changed the world. Jesus said NO to sin and temptation. For that, He could say YES to the cross. Jesus said NO to living and died on the cross. For that, He could say YES to the resurrection and be victorious over death, hell, and the grave.

So what are you going to say NO to today?

PRAY: Dear Jesus, help me say NO to what You would say NO to today. AMEN
