This Is The Day

Had a lot of trouble going to sleep last night.  Then I woke up hours before I should have.  Then I dozed off again.  Woke up only to discover I overslept.  But if you didn't get enough sleep in the first place, is it oversleeping?

Psalm 118:24  This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Then I get to the office and discover that most everything that I had planned to do today isn't going to happen.

Then I looked at my schedule for next week and wondered, "How?"

God has given me this day to honor and worship Him.  Regardless of the circumstances, I can do this.  God makes my day, things, and people don't.  God blesses me and provides for my every need.  God is the one who made sure that the Sun came up this morning and He is the one who will take care of me in the darkest night.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, I rejoice today - regardless of everything else - You are my God and King.  AMEN
