By The Power Invested In You . . . .

Judges 6:34 But the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon, and he sounded the trumpet, and the Abiezrites were called out to follow him.

The Holy Spirit "clothes" Gideon with his presence and power.  Now I could write about this for a very long time.  But suffice to say, this is very close to what we experience in the Holy Spirit now.

Gideon needed supernatural inspiration, zeal, and strength to accomplish God's will for that time.  God knows that we need that same inspiration, zeal, and power today to live our everyday lives and do His will.

I am reminded of 1 Cor 12 the Gifts of the Spirit.
..... but it is the same God who empowers them all [including Gideon] in everyone. 7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

God now, as then, has a plan for our lives.  This plan includes the power, participation, and presence of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and lives.  It will do the impossible, the improbable and even that astounding in your life.   And what will happen to you if you embrace all that He has for you?

Well, thousands flocked to Gideon's side just because he destroyed Baal's altar.  There are those who will ridicule and abandon you, just because you turned your back on some false idol.  But there many, many more who will come to see what you have to offer in Jesus name.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, help me to be inspired and empowered by the Holy Spirit today.  AMEN
