IT'S ALL TRUE!!!

Judges 6: 19 - 21 19 So Gideon went into his house and prepared a young goat and unleavened cakes from an ephah of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and the broth he put in a pot, and brought them to him under the terebinth and presented them. 20 And the angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened cakes, and put them on this rock, and pour the broth over them.” And he did so. 21 Then the angel of the Lord reached out the tip of the staff that was in his hand and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes. And fire sprang up from the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. And the angel of the Lord vanished from his sight.

It doesn't seem to mean much at first read, but the angel proves to Gideon that he isn't hallucinating.

We see Gideon going to prepare a meal and an offering to give to the angel.  This is important.  Gideon could have asked for the angel to do a miracle, like make the Sun go black or do some kind of trick.  The religious leaders tried to do that to Jesus, and all Jesus said was, An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, (Matthew 16:4).  Gideon took a different approach.  He showed God honor and respect with his actions first.

Don't devalue your relationship with Christ by asking Him to do tricks or some kind of nonsense to "prove" His worth and value to you.  Instead, honor Him and respect His with all of your heart.  He is your friend.  Make sure that He is so precious to you that you will honor Him and love Him above all else.

Gideon brings the meal and offering to the angel.  The angel then tells him to pour the broth over the meal.  This is reminiscent of Elijah pouring water over the offering before calling fire down from heaven.  Then in a flash, the angel and the food are gone.  Gideon is left standing there going, "It's all true!"

I know that truth is lost to some.  Others have given up on finding it.  But if you take a moment to honor God.  To give Him a chance to prove Himself.  I believe that you will find out the same thing that Gideon discovered.  "It's all true!"

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, I worship You with all my heart, please show me your truth for my life.  AMEN
