Be Ye Transformed - Like The Breaks On Mine Horse
Yes, I know it's King James English, but I got you to click on it, didn't I.
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
"Conformed" means to be molded into someone else's image. Paul makes it clear that this world has a mold just for you. Here is the deal about molds. If they are perfect, then they produce excellent products. But if they are imperfect, then the product will fail.

A few years ago I had to do a brake job on my car which included rotors. I went to the auto parts store and asked them for a set of brakes and rotors. The salesman came out with two sets of rotors. Then he tells me, this set is $$$$$ amount of dollars. My eyes must have bulged out of my head to the high price. This set is $$ amount of dollars, which was considerably less. Made me go, hmmm, and ask "Why such a big difference?" He explains.
The more expensive set is made with craftsmanship and is a quality product. The cheaper set is cast in a poor mold and will most likely break at some point. Now the look on my face is confusing. "Why would you sell such a product?" Begrudgingly, he tells me that the auto store makes him do it.
I now am leery of his story. So I tell him that I am a pastor and that lying to me was a horrible idea. To that, he pulls out the cheap rotors and shows me the flaw in the casting. "It breaks here every time."
"How many of these cheap breaks do you sell?" I asked. "A lot," he says. I shelled out the big bucks and kept my family safe.
This world is flawed by the sin. It isn't perfect nor will ever be. Following its lead only takes you down a road of pain and suffering.
Paul then tells us to be transformed. This is where we get the word metamorphosis. A transformation from the inside out. God isn't interested in "turning over a new leaf" mentality. God is interested in changing the way you think. To see the world through His eyes and to see your future through His heart. It is only when we allow Him to change us that we discover what we were created for. That we discover His joy, love, hope, and peace.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, transform me today. AMEN
