The Soverignty of God

Have you ever thought about the fact that God is above His creation?  That there are no limits to His rule?  That there is nothing that will ever leave Him helpless or frustrated?

In Genesis 3: 12 - 13 12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Now think about this.  After God had created the earth, He called it, "good."  Believe me, if God says something is good, it probably is.  But after Adam and Eve sinned, His creation was corrupted.  It wasn't good anymore.

God could have said, "Enough!" and started over.  But He didn't.  Rather he promises in Gen 3:15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

God's sovereignty chose to redeem mankind rather than punish them.  God decided to intervene in the problem rather than avoiding it.

God in His sovereignty would instead intervene in your problem.  He loves you more than His creation.  Creation comes and goes.  He can create anytime He wants to.  But you are a different story.  You are created in His image.  You can spend eternity with Him or not.  He desires for you to follow Him with all of your heart.  He would literally move heaven and earth on your behalf.  That's what His sovereignty would do for you.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, I worship You because you love me so much today.  Thank You AMEN
