OUCH!

Woke up with a headache.  Took some Tylenol.  The headache got worse.  That's not good.  Maybe if I ate something.  Nope, didn't touch it.  We're going to Defcon 4.  Get to church and have to handle a phone call.  Again, not good.  Defcon 3.  Left eye doesn't want to open, and light hurts my eyes.  Took some Motrin.  Still nothing.  Defcon 2.  I'm in severe pain.  Go lay down, phone rings. (Why didn't I shut it off?  I don't know, I've got a headache.)  We are now at Defcon 1.  I've had kidney stones, and I was about to ask God to put me out of my misery.

Isaiah 53:5  But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

Betty comes in and says, "I think you need food.  Let's go get lunch."  Whatever, I'd do just about anything to make this pain stop.  10 minutes into lunch.  Boom!  It stopped.

I know that a headache doesn't rank up there with a lot of problems people have.  But then, that's the point.  If God cares about my headache, which He does, then He cares about every other ailment that you might have.

Jesus didn't go to the cross and take the beating for some of your problems and diseases.  He went to the cross for all of them.  Did Jesus ever get a headache?  I don't know.  But I do know He cares about what you are going through right now.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, I need your healing touch on my life today.  AMEN
