Facing Opposition
Here is a principle you need to remember. If you're doing it right, you'll face resistance.
For some reason, the Holy Spirit wants me to blog about this. I don't know why or to who? But someone needs to know what I am going to blog on for the next few days.
Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Everyone knows that there is a struggle against good and evil. Now before you go to the dark side on me, it isn't what you think. The battle isn't between God and Satan. Jesus said in Luke 10:18 that He saw Satan fall out of heaven like lightning. I bet the sudden stop hurt! Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead. In doing so, it says in Col. 2:14 - 15 that Jesus took all authority away from Satan. Satan is defeated. His doom is certain. But he will not stop bullying the followers of Jesus. He hates God so much that He is committed, to the bitter end, to destroy as much of His Creation as He can. That's you and me.
So one of the ways that he tries to do that is to get you to put your faith in anything but God.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses . . . Some people rely on their job, their talents, their career, their politics, their education, and even their godless religion to keep them safe. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that you need to be an active part in the solutions of your life. But are your actions guided by your fears or your faith?
. . . but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. That isn't to say that you just sit back and watch God, "fix" everything. That means you place your trust in Him, listen to His voice and do His will.
Now here is where it gets interesting.
"But you don't understand!" Yes, I do. Believe me, I do. In the face of your opposition, you have to commit to Christ. Give, give, give 110% of yourself to what He is doing in your life. When you do that, selflessly and faithfully Satan's words will begin to lose hold on your heart. Fear will start to fade, and faith will rise.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, speak to me and allow my faith to rise above my fears. AMEN
