Where Are You God?

"I've prayed and prayed and prayed, and God said nothing."

I don't know how many times I've heard that statement.  The implication is that God doesn't want to talk to them when in reality I know that He is shouting at you.

John 10:27-28  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

The first question you have to ask is.
God is speaking are you listening?  Listening is an art, not a science.  That means you need to practice.  God speaks through His Word, the Bible.  He speaks through spiritual leaders and mentors. He speaks through a still small voice in your own heart.

The second question is.
Do you know the difference between listening and expecting God to do what you want?  Or you could put it this way.  Can you hear God say no?  We say, "God didn't answer our prayers when what we mean is, God didn't do what I wanted Him to do."

The third question is.
Are you afraid of what God will say?  You may already know what God is going to say.  Whatever pain you think it may cause it will never be greater than the pain of not listening to Him.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, help me to listen to you today.  AMEN
