When God Comes Through For You
Now I didn't blog yesterday and here is the reason why.
3 AM Easter Sunday morning. I wake up all miserable.
4 AM Easter Sunday morning. My stomach is really giving me fits.
5 AM Easter Sunday morning. I know something is wrong, but what is it?
6 AM Easter Sunday morning. I am before the white throne (not the Great One) relieving myself of dinner from the night before.
6:30 AM Easter Sunday morning. Montezuma's revenge.
7 AM Easter Sunday morning. I want to die. I have food poisoning.
Of all Sunday's to get food poisoning. I arrive at the church, late, and exhausted.
My wife messaged everyone on the staff. PRAY!
When I got to church people PRAYED!
As I sit in my office, I PRAYED! "Oh God, get me through this service!"
10:30 AM Easter Sunday morning. The first video plays and I feel ill.
10:35 AM Easter Sunday morning. The second video plays, and it's time to go to the platform.
10:40 AM Easter Sunday morning. We sing the first song. Well, the worship team did. I kind of stood there.
James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Isa 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

While everyone was greeting I turned my back to the congregation and prayed a quick prayer. "God, a lot of people put a lot of faith into this service. Please don't let this stop You or me today. AMEN"
That's when it happened. I felt a surge of strength to sing, all nausea stopped, and I was good to go.
The rest of the service was excellent, 13 people came forward and asked Jesus into their lives. 12 more in kids church.
As soon as I stepped off the platform, it was over. I wasn't sick anymore, but I was exhausted. Since noon Sunday, I have slept 14 hours. But I needed the rest.
I am glad to be surrounded by people who care.
I am glad to be surrounded by people who pray.
I am glad to be surrounded by people who will step up and lead.
I am glad to be a father, a husband, and a pastor.
Yesterday was a good day. Perfect? No. But I'll take good over perfect any day.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, that You for coming through for me every day. AMEN
