Doubt Jesus? Try This

I was reading in my devotions this morning Acts 2: 42 - 43  42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.

Now there is no doubt in my mind that I think that Jesus puts the "awe" in awesome.

But there are others who doubt my enthusiasm.  That's ok.  I'm not going offended.  Every journey to discovering Christ isn't the same.  But if you think what I am saying is rubbish, then I offer this challenge to you.

Tell God what you really think.  Don't worry.  He's got big shoulders, He can take it.  You're not going to offend Him, He is really interested in what you have to say.

Ask God to reveal Himself to you in a meaningful way.  This will require for you to pay attention to what is happening in your life.  But don't worry.  God loves a challenge.

Read the Bible.  If you have never read the Bible before, you will find it interesting.  You can get a free version with the YouVersion app or from your browser.  I would suggest reading the CEV version.  You can change later if you don't like it.  Oh!  I almost forgot to tell you - read either Mark or John.  Why not read about the guy who we are talking about?  You'll learn a lot about Him.

Now, what is going to happen?  Well, I believe that God will show up in your life.  When He does the challenge is, what are you going to do?  I know that He will leave you in awe, but here is the deal.  God does this kind of stuff all the time.  Wouldn't you preferably have an "awe"some God in your life every day?

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, Show up in my life in a big way.  AMEN
