When Reality Kicks In

I had a famous Christian Psychologist tell me one time, "If you don't like being Wiley Coyote, always getting the anvil dropped on your head, leave the cartoon."  His point was simple.  If you are living in someone else's fantasy, step out into your own reality.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

There were a lot of people who thought, and still think, Jesus was a lunatic.  Either He is the Lord He claims to be or the lunatic that people believe He is.  The reality is simple.

Jesus realizes that you and I were living in a world with no hope.  Satan has convinced people that they can save themselves and turn this sinful world around.  That's why He came to earth and gave His life on the cross.  His sacrifice and resurrection empowers us to embrace His reality, and so we can reject Satans lies.

Have you ever had a moment in your life when you realize your perception of life was a bit (or a lot) skewed?  That you might be living in a fantasy and that there was nothing to be afraid of after all?  That's what a relationship with Jesus brings to your life.  A Biblical worldview that drives fear from your heart and allows you to see your life through His eyes, truthfully.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, help me to see myself as you see me.  AMEN
