I'm meeting real Eagles fan all over the place. I'm not talking about the anti-Pats type of fan. The fan that roots for any team that is playing against the Pats. I mean life long, true blue, crazy Eagles fans.
Two moms at the dance studio are lifelong faithful Eagles fans, who knew? The person who I have been working with for the last 2 days is a lifelong Eagles fan. Eagles fans are all over the place.
Have you ever noticed that after you buy a car, you will see every car like yours?
Have you ever contracted a particular ailment then meet 5 people who suffered from the same thing?
What you look for you will find!
Matthew 7:7-8 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
This verse doesn't imply that God is some kind of spiritual gold account that allows you to get whatever you want. But it is a simple spiritual principle that you should remember. When you desire what God wants you to have, you will find it. But if you are not looking for it, you will not see it.
Many people do not realize their full potential in Christ because they are not looking for it.
Many people do not understand the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives because they are not looking for it.
So what can you do?
Ask God what you should be looking for in your life?
Seek what the answer to the above prayer.
Knocking is very, very important. When you knock on a door, you are asking permission to enter. Pursue a personal relationship with Christ. It is in that relationship that you will discover His will for your life.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, show me what I am supposed to be looking for in my life. AMEN
