Exodus 14: 21 - 22 21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
Who was Moses on the west side of the Red Sea? He was God's man of the hour who could speak to Pharaoh. He had been raised in the Egyptian way of life. He knew what to say and how to say it. He was the only one qualified to be Israels deliver.
But who was he on the east side of the Red Sea? He wasn't in Egypt anymore. His leadership skills had to change and fast! His father-in-law Jethro told him that if he didn't change his way, he was going to get into big trouble.
What Red Sea are you facing right now? Your back is against the water, and your enemies are closing in. If God doesn't save you now - you're doomed. God is in the business of saving us from our Red Seas. But there is something that you need to understand.
Who you are on the west side of your Red Sea isn't the person you're going to have to be on the East side. You've been delivered for a reason. The Israelites maintained a slave mentality. Even at Mount Sinai, they told Moses, "We want to go back to Egypt!" Life wasn't the same.
If you think that God's goal for your life is to keep everything the same, then you don't know God. He has something better planned for you. There will be Red Seas to cross. Deserts to live in. Giants to fight. But Paul said, Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him (Jesus) who strengthens me.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, help me change. AMEN
