I blew it. I didn't blog yesterday. I had a inkling this might happen. As you know, if you read my last post, that this is dance week. Yesterday was the kids show. Then the first Nutcracker performance that night. How did I get through it? Coffee was by best friend. What am I saying? Coffee is always my best friend.
So what does missing a blog post have to do with todays devotion?
Romans 8:1 "now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"
II Corinthians 5:17 "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new"
Do not condem yourself if you have receive God's grace and forgivness. If you have sinned, then submit it to God. But don't go around condeming yourself for every detail of your life that isn't "just perfect."
Here is something else you can do that will help. Stop focusing on your failures and look around for the small gifts that God is giving you. A child's smile. A moving song. A funny story. These are the things God gives you to enjoy. Enjoy them and cut yourself some slack.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, help me to forgive myself today. AMEN
