... well it isn’t a white Christmas.
Everything then depends on God's mercy and not on what people want or do. Romans 9:16 CEVUS06
Everyone has a dream. Some people have a dream about their future, their career, their relationships, and even their life. Dreams can be very powerful. They can motivate every moment of our day or even strike fear in our hearts. That’s why we must be careful what we pursue in life. We might just get it.
I knew a man Who didn’t like people. That isn’t to say he didn’t want to be around them he just wanted them to do what he asked. When they would disagree failed to comply to his standards, he would lose his temper. He didn’t trust anyone. He didn’t trust this doctor, his wife, his pastor, or his family. Eventually, he ended up old and alone. But here’s the deal, that’s what he wanted. It was his dream.
Paul tells us in the book of Romans and everything depends on God‘s mercy. That includes our dreams, and our desires. God’s favor upon our life, his grace, his presence, his wisdom is necessary to our dreams. God, because of his mercy, wants to be an active part of our lives. His presence trumps what other people have planned for us. His will always be greater than the will of our friends and enemies.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, let Your mercy rule my future today. AMEN
