I Forgot To Tell You

Apparently, marketers are not going to try to sell me stuff anymore.

Somewhere around 53 or 54 marketers quit creating ads that you would be interested in.  It has been determined that by this age you can no longer be swayed to buy someone’s product.  That you have decided which brands you’re going to use and you will not change your mind.

If you are older than me, I’m 54, and ever wondered why you don’t understand commercials anymore, that’s why.  They are not trying.  Then again they haven’t been able to get to me for a long time.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Being conformed like being poured into a mold. You have to dress like everyone else, talk like everyone else, listen to the most popular music, and basically do what you’re told.  Doesn’t sound like much of a life if you ask me.

God created you to be creative.  To be unique and uncommon.  To be a one of a kind.  You can’t do that while conforming to the world.  But you can if you have been transformed. The Greek word that transformed comes from is where we get metamorphosis.  To be changed.  Look at it this way.

When you surrender your life to Christ, He pulls you out of the mold of this world.  Then as a potter molds clay, He reshapes you into what you were created to do in the first place.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, reshape my life to your will today.  AMEN
