When God Decides To Change Everything

You and I don't like change.  Well, most change that is.

We like it when we graduate from college. We don't like paying more taxes.  We like getting married. We don't like getting older.

But change can be a bit of a conundrum for followers of Christ.  So here are the two rules you need to know.

#1 God Never Changes.
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

#2 God Changes Everything.

Huh? 

The character of God never changes.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  Thank Him for that.  Whatever God does in your life will be consistent and reliable.  

But God will change your life.  He will do something new in your life that will cause change.  But that will only happen as you trust Him.  Worrying about anything never changed anything.  Placing your faith and trust in God will change everything.  

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, help me to embrace the change you want in my life today.  AMEN

Today is Mothers Day.  On this day:  More people purchase fresh flowers and plants for Mother's Day than for any other holiday except Christmas/Hanukkah. In 2019, the National Retail Federation (NRF) estimates that US consumers will spend $25 billion celebrating Mother's Day. Shoppers will spend an average of $196.00 on Mom. Betty doesn’t like me blogging about her too much. So let me go with one more for now and let you see a bit of her heart.  She doesn’t like the world any better now than when she gave birth to Anneka. (Neither do I.)   If you think that’s a strange thing to say, you’re right. But let me explain myself.  The idea that a child will make your world a better place isn’t accurate. Stop shouting at the screen. Just keep reading.   Before we got pregnant, both of us had enough wisdom to understand what we were doing, in as much as we knew that this would change our lives.  Would it be for the better?
