I've Got A Feeling! (And it isn't a Hurricane for once!)

As I mentioned a few blogs earlier, when you're in hurricane mode you can't think of much else.  Literally, every moment of every day is occupied with a name.  Irma, Lee, Maria - you get the picture. 

But when the season is over, and you can stop for a moment, you realize a lot happened while you were gone.  Too much!  You spend the next few weeks trying to catch up with work, needs, the news and so much more.  

Eventually, life does return to normal.  Some sooner than later.  Then the days when a hurricane occupied your every thought eventually fade away into memory.  

But something else is going on.  Some might say I am having a "gut feeling" others might call it intuition.  

Galatians 5:25  If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

I think that God is up to something.  I believe that it is going to be good and I believe that it will be for those who are looking for it.  

“But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means” (1 Corinthians 2:14 NLT)

God does speak through people.  He has been doing it for thousands of years, and He is still doing it today.  I know that when I say stuff like that someone usually thinks that I'm a fry short of a Happy Meal.  That's OK.  

God has always wanted to give more of Himself to you.  But it takes the faith to seek Him with all of your heart, soul, and spirit.  Are you going to get ready to receive? 

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, I want to receive what you have for me  AMEN

Today is Mothers Day.  On this day:  More people purchase fresh flowers and plants for Mother's Day than for any other holiday except Christmas/Hanukkah. In 2019, the National Retail Federation (NRF) estimates that US consumers will spend $25 billion celebrating Mother's Day. Shoppers will spend an average of $196.00 on Mom. Betty doesn’t like me blogging about her too much. So let me go with one more for now and let you see a bit of her heart.  She doesn’t like the world any better now than when she gave birth to Anneka. (Neither do I.)   If you think that’s a strange thing to say, you’re right. But let me explain myself.  The idea that a child will make your world a better place isn’t accurate. Stop shouting at the screen. Just keep reading.   Before we got pregnant, both of us had enough wisdom to understand what we were doing, in as much as we knew that this would change our lives.  Would it be for the better? That was the plan.  Would it enrich our lives? We hoped so.   But to think that a child would turn our world into a magical place of perfection and joy was never a thought.   If anything, the world worked against us from day one. (Still is.)
