Isn't that the truth. We see someone doing something we like, then we do it.

Recently, while I was traveling, I stopped at a local restaurant to get some lunch. My food arrived about the same time an older couple was being seated near us. The elderly gentleman looked at my lunch and asked me, "What is that?" In my mind I thought, "lunch," but deciding not be so blunt I said it was a salad with grilled chicken. He looked at the hostess and said, "I want that!"
1 Corinthians 11:1 - Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
But how can someone follow Christ if they have never experienced Him?
One of the morning devotions I read said this. "We imitate what we have experienced."
But how can someone follow Christ if they have never experienced Him?
A while back I was in a waiting room, you know - waiting. Across the room was a very loud person who was talking about their church. However, the more they talked, the worse it got. It was cringeworthy stuff. After the person left, I turned to the person sitting next to me and said, "Please ignore that person, most of us followers of Jesus are not that way." She said, "Oh, thank God because if you were, I had already decided I was never going to church." Ouch!!!
How does someone experience Christ? Through you. When you live a life that is so good that others notice, they will imitate you. Obviously, this isn't a bad thing - Paul told the followers in Corinth to imitate him as He was following Christ.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, let my life be so enriched by your presence that others will want what I have. AMEN
