How To Do Something Amazing
What to do something amazing today? Here is how you do it.
#1 - Put others before yourself.
Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
Acts 20:35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
As we were leaving, we felt impressed to give her a $100 tip (on a $25 meal). We didn't stick around to see her receive her tip - that wasn't the reason why we did it. But in a few minutes after our departure, we got a phone call, from her parents, in South America. They thanked us for our generosity but what we didn't know was this. She needed $100 that evening in order to secure a place to live near her college. Amazing!!

#2 - Give God a reason to pay attention to you.
2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.

#3 - Keep it simple.
These three steps are so simple but profound.
A few years ago Betty and I stopped in a restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat. We were traveling and didn't frequent this eating establishment often. The waitress came and took our order. But there was something about her that I couldn't quite figure out. After a few minutes, I asked her, "Have you ever been to Palm City, Florida?" She replied with a smile - Yes! She recalled the time that her family traveled there and her brother broke his arm at church. I KNEW IT! She was the daughter of a missionary friend of mine. That incident happened some 20 years prior to that day in the restaurant.

You can make a difference.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, let me make a difference today. AMEN
