Wild Goose Chases

Mark Batterson describes following the Holy Spirit like chasing a wild goose.  You never know where it is going to take you.

John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth (Holy Spirit) comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in other tongues and the Gifts of the Spirit are worthless if you're not willing to follow the Holy Spirit.  In fact, it's my personal opinion that church isn't really worth anything if it isn't willing to follow Him.

So many times in the New Testament we see Jesus, Paul, and the Apostles do something because the Holy Spirit led them to do it.  That takes some faith and trust.

- In some of those cases, they didn't know what would happen.
- In other cases, they knew they were going to get into trouble.
- Sometimes what they did pleased God, but it displeased men.

Some might ask, "Why would the Holy Spirit do these things?"  Because what the Holy Spirit knows is greater than what we can understand.

Where is the Holy Spirit leading you today and what does He want you to do?

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, I want to follow You.  Lead me and I will follow.  AMEN.
