Connect To Yourself

Who are you?

Don't guess or assume anything. Who are you?

You did God created you to be? Do you know how He made you?

Answering this question requires a few things.  #1 You have, to be honest with yourself.  We all know that the truth can hurt.  #2  You have to get help.  You need someone who will tell you the truth, with love.  Their job is to help you see what you cannot.  #3  You need to take some time to answer these and other questions.  These answers are the direction of your life.

But before you do all of that, let me encourage you.

You are gifted.  1 Peter 4:10-11 Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace.

God created you with the ability to do something(s) well.  These skills are designed to help others and bring joy to your life.   Use them!!

You are unique.  Psalms 139:13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.

King David acknowledges that God created him.  He was a shepherd, a warrior, a leader, a king, a husband and a father.  Now when you read about his life, you will discover that sometimes he wasn't good at it.  But that never deterred David from believing who God created him to be.

You are important.  John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

So God gave you His Son (Jesus) to die on a cross for your sins.  You're important!!

PRAY: Dear Jesus, Show me who you created me to be today.  Help me become a person who will honor you.  AMEN.

PS Football Sunday is this Sunday (Feb 5th) at Faith Family Worship Center.  Bring the family and enjoy the day with us!
