"I can't get it all done!"  "How am I going to do all of this!"  "Ahhhhh!"

In the 70's there was a commercial on television for Calgon.  Their catch phrase was, "Take Me Away!"  The idea was that if you soaked in their bubble bath, it would wash away your stress.

I've seen people use a lot of difference ideas and methods to "de-stress" their life.  Everything from the weird to the illegal. The need to "get control" of one's life is so overwhelming it's become a multi-billion dollar industry.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

The world says, "You've got to do it ALL!"  "If you don't, you're a failure." Don't conform to this nonsense.

Be transformed!  Allow Jesus to change your thinking?  But how you ask?  The answer is, "Ask better questions."  What are your real priorities?  Should you say NO more often? What do you need to stop doing?  To help you along, here is my list of priorities with a quick explanation.

#1 - Faith in Jesus - Whatever I am, I do it as a follower of Jesus.
#2 - Marriage - I am married to my wife, not to my daughter.
#3 - Family - One of the greatest joys of my life, I lead as a Father and Husband who follows Jesus.
#4 - Ministry - It is God's calling on my life, but He never asked me to sacrifice my faith, marriage or family in the name of ministry.

Now, here is the BIG key!  I do not see each of these as individual silos unto themselves.  You can't  either.  Life is too big and messy to compartmentalize.  Everyone is in one silo, but I choose what percentage of my life is dedicated to each.  Here is the other BIG key.  While you may think that I dedicate 25% of my time to each of these - I don't.  Never have and never will.  Sometimes my marriage needs more of my time.  Sometimes my ministry does.  The key to success here is to manage what God has given me very well.  With His help I am successful.

PRAY:  Jesus, help me to prioritize my life today.  I need to put you first in my life.  I need to embrace what you want me to do and not abandon your calling.  Help me to put things in order.  AMEN.
