Stop what you are doing right now.  Just take a moment to close your eyes and take a deep breath.  Don't worry the world it will be there when you get back.  Pause and think.  "What am I doing right now?"  Now ask yourself, "What should I be doing right now?"

Isaiah 40:31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Take a moment to wait.  Often you will feel extra pressure as you close out this Christmas season.  Your job has deadlines to meet, Christmas or no Christmas.  There are last minute gifts to purchase.  That unexpected Christmas party invitation that you cannot say no to, but don't have time to attend.  Will you make it?  Is it all going to come together?

As yourself this question.  A year from now, will anyone remember?

I've done a few things that people remember, but for the most part, my Christmas activities haven't left an indelible mark on anyone.  Well, except the time I sent these as Christmas cards.

That was over 20 years ago, and I haven't received a Christmas card from my family since.   Oops!

Don't allow the holidays to run your life.  Live your life for Christ and celebrate the gift of His birth and life.  If it all becomes too much - stop and wait.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, I want this Christmas season to be about you.  Help me to be a witness to others about the true meaning of Christmas.  AMEN!
