When God Changes Your World

So as I am sitting here listening to the awesome guidance and wisdom of Dr. Mel Ming from Leadership Development Resources.   Revitalizing churches - restoring churches to God's DNA - His design for them - has to become a passion of our hearts and lives.  Why? In short, in the United States of America, if you line up the unsaved (giving 30" per person) around the equator - you could go around the world 2 1/2 times.  Now if that doesn't bother you understand that the line is growing a half a mile a day.  That's 182 miles a year.  That's in the USA only!   We are no longer living in a church culture.  People don't know what church is, who Jesus is, who God is, what a Bible is or that they even need to be saved from hell.  So what we as a church doing about this?  If you think that this is quite a challenge, you're right.   The correct question that has to be answered is, "What will we have to sacrifice?"  The church has been in exis

Sunday Night Reflections

The Salt Class was great today.  Sometimes we start talking about stuff that may or may not be a part of the lesson.  But we believe that the conversation is more important than the information.  Letting the Holy Spirit lead the lesson and talk about what He wants us to discuss always leads to some great revelations.  Worship was great this morning.  Randy had surgery and is going to be out of the rotation for a little while.  But the rest of the worship team is stepping up - I thank God for all of them.  The sound system behaved this morning!  Praise God!  Anson was at the helm and did an AWESOME job! Eric ran Powerpoint and did a great job too!  How do I know (afterall my back is to the wall).  Because nobody complained!  That's always a good sign! Was happy to see all the guests this morning.  That's to all of you who were here.  We really want to see you again soon!  Prayer time was really personally today.  God met people one on one.  It's so good

The End of the World?

Meteors in Russia  - Liberty Medical files chapter 11 - Home Land Security bought 1.6 billion bullets - Asteroid 2012 DA14 (which is nearly 150 feet across) is passing by today. What does it all mean? It means that God is trying to get everyones attention!  Nature is telling us something is up.  Mankind is telling us something is up.  The finance community is telling us something is up.  It's no secret - all of know that the world we live in is about to change - BIG TIME. Here is the BIG LIE.  It's global warming.  It's capitalism's fault.  It's rich peoples fault.  It's the governments fault, blah, blah, blah. Here is the TRUTH.  It's sins fault!  And who sinned?  Now before you go pointing fingers at everyone else - it was your sin.  God already knew what sin would do this world.  Therefore He gave us the books of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation.  This world will pay for it's sin and we, His people, will see the signs of the coming judgement.

Did Love Fail You?

Valentines day is great - as long as you're not single. I love this qu ote:  I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon. ---Author Unknown The world presents love to us as fleeting, difficult, easy to lose, hard to find and down right impossible to keep.   Nothing could be farther from the truth, but then again - are we talking about the same thing?  Compare the following statements, " I love pizza." with,  "I love my wife."  Both are true, but they are not the same.  If you want love in your life, then understand  1 John 3 where it tells us that God is love .  No this isn't some kind of cosmic, ethereal, spiritual kind of love.  It's the real deal!  If you want to know real love - you need to know God.   In a world where people are abused, tortured, berated and divorced the name of love.  I can under
