When you up against your Red Sea

Exodus 14 tells us of the events that happened at the Red Sea. Israel had just been freed from Egypt - but Pharaoh, who had a change of heart, sent his army to go get them.

Verse 2 “Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi Hahiroth.."
Have you ever thought that life isn’t fair? Or course we all have at one time or another. We all have said, “God wouldn’t do this to me!” “He loves me to much to do that!” Really! When we start to understand God’s plans and His work in our life, then we too - like the Israelites - might be put into a situation that is “unfair”.

Read Exodus 14:1 - 4 1 Then the LORD said to Moses, 2 “Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. They are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal Zephon. 3 Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert.’ 4 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So the Israelites did this.

God deliberate put them in a situation whereby they would be attacked by Pharaoh. Their backs to the Red Sea, trapped on either side - then Pharaohs army barreling down their throats. Yikes! Makes even the strongest of faithful wonder if God hadn't lost control for a minute!

God has a plan for your life. What you probably either don’t realize or want to admit, is that he can take you to some Red Seas. Think about it. It is God’s will for you to go through some of the stuff that you go through! God has a purpose in everything. Some of those purposes are VERY important to you and your eternal future.

Tomorrow we discover what it is that we are suppose to learn through lifes trials.
