Are you a Noah?
Blog Genesis 6:9 This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.
Have you ever read a biography about a famous person? There are plenty out there about all different kinds of people. Some did a great deal of good for the world, some not so much. However, all of them did something that got your attention. There are some fascinating Christians you can read about like Smith Wigglesworth - John G Lake - David Wilkerson and others.
But what you read about in Genesis 6 isn’t about what deserved the attention of people. It was what got the attention of God. A righteous man - he was in a right relationship with God. A blameless man - no one could successfully accuse him of ANY wrong doing. He walked with God - the only other time you see this phrase in the Bible is about a guy named Enoch. He got so close to God that one day he just went to heaven. Noah wasn’t just some average Joe, he pursued God with ALL of his heart and life.
So if God was going to write your bio, what would He say? Well, don’t give up just yet. You can start a new chapter if you like. I’m sure that Noah had his issues and needs too. There is nothing here to suggest that he is perfect - just close to God. So, how close are you?
