Which Road Are You On? Part 3

Sorry for today's delay. Been catching up all morning. So which road are you on? Well most of you would probably say that you are on the road from the Cross to the Rapture. I want to get it to that little more next week. (Getting ready for Sunday is going to occupy the rest of my day and weekend) What I see a lot of people do is this? They take the cross (accepting Jesus into their lives) and try to put it on the road from Birth to Death. This doesn't work. It never has and it never will. When we take what Christ intended for us and try to make it fit our life, all we do is create godless religion. 2 Timothy 3: 1 - 4 1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather

Which Road Are You On? Part 2

As I promised yesterday I am going to share with you a road for your life that neither starts at birth nor ends in death. Interested? Well here goes. Jesus came to this world to give mankind the opportunity to restore their relationship with the Heavenly Father. A relationship that was destroyed by Adam and Eve through their sin. (Gen. 3) Jesus took our sins and thus gave us the ability to restore our relationship with God through the cross. Where did this happen you ask? It happened at the cross. (John 3:16) In John 3 Jesus has a conversation with a guy named Nicodemus. In verse 3 He declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” A new birth? Obviously Jesus wasn't talking about starting over on the road from birth to death. But He is talking about a new birth that starts us down a new road. A road that starts at the cross and ends at the rapture. (We will get to that in a minute.) This road is completely different that t

All of us entered this world the same way. BIRTH When I was born the first thing the doctor said about me was, "Look at the shoulders on this kid!!" I know, to much information. But I still have problems buying shirts that don't look like a tent on me. (And don't get me started about buying shoes.) When we enter this world there is one thing that is going to happen, we are going to die! Hebrews 9:27 This is a given. So the world we live in takes the point of view to get as much out of today for tomorrow they might die. I can see why they would want to do that. Looking forward to a coffin just doesn't sound like much fun! I call this the Road from Birth to Death. Because all of us have sinned, Rom 3:23. Not only are we going to experience physical death, but we are going to experience a spiritual one too! It's called hell. Revelation 20:14-15 The trip from birth to death is what this world is about. We envy people whose trip is filled with see
