Bi-Focals

Image
So I need to upgrade my glasses to bi-focals. Seems that time has taken it's toll and the inevitable has happened. What to expect? What kind of problems will I face? I remember the first time my dad got bi-focals. He stepped into a ditch that was 6 feet deep when it looked like it was 6 inches deep to him. This sounds painful?

At the Wisconsin State Fair you can get a Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger. Read it here The $5 burger is a beef patty with melted cheese, and a Krispy Kreme doughnut for a bun. For $1 more you can put chocolate covered bacon on it. So how do you eat this thing? A) Go to the fair and buy the burger. B) Get in your car and drive to the nearest emergency room. C) Let them strap you on a gurney and have the heart doctor on standby. D) Eat the burger until you pass out. E) Wake up the next morning with your new triple bypass. I'm just sayin.

We are servants for Jesus and to everyone else. Jesus got on his knees and washed the disciples feet. The lowest, nastiest job one could have in those days. He told us in Mark 9 that if you want to be great, be a servant to all. So why is it that sometimes we feel like we are being treated like a slave? When Jesus is the center of our life and universe - then everything we say and do flows from Him. It's His Will that we do and His Word that we follow. But when we are the center of our life and universe, then it's our will and word we will follow. What is the problem with that? Well it is quite simple really. Jesus is all knowing, all powerful and everywhere all the time. We are not. When we serve ourselves, we are trying to get the same results that Jesus gives us without His help our power. Without H
