I guess that would depend on what you think "expensive" is. What one person pays for a cup of coffee sometimes makes me want to pass out. Whether you think it is expensive or not - I think we all agree, it isn't cheap.
What does it cost you to have hope? Time? Emotions? Money? Well it depends on where you think your source of hope is.
Is your hope in this world? - Then prepare to shell out BIg bucks. Anything you do is going to cost you.
Is your hope in people? - Then prepare to get let down, A LOT! People are not perfect. Every time they make a mistake your going to lose a little hope.
Is your hope in yourself? - Prepare to work yourself to death! There are a lot of details that need to be tended to before you can allow yourself to have hope. But you better do it quick, your working on that first heart attack very, very quickly.
Is your hope in Christ? - This is the most expense of them all, and it doesn't cost you a thing. Jesus paid the price with His life and His blood on the cross. All it costs you is your faith and trust. That's it!!
Tomorrow - how do you know that your hope is in Christ?
