Hope isn't so much an issue of belief as it is an issue of trust. We believe in lots of things but that doesn't mean that we trust them. We tend to do the same with God. We believe in Him, but we shy away from trusting Him. Why do we do that? The concept of someone who will be faithful and never fail us is quite difficult for us to believe it. It sound like a fantasy to most. All of us have been let down by someone who promised never to hurt us, fail us or abandon us.
Our hope has to be rooted in our submission to who God is. He is the Creator we are His creation. The Creator is always above His creation. To make God an equal with His creation doesn't allow us to see Him for who He really is and what He can really do. God never fails to keep His promises. He can and will do that, if we will trust Him with all our heart.
Ps 145:13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
He has and always will be faithful to us, therefore, you can trust Him with everything. Don't allow this world to tell you who God is. They have never and will never get it right. Allow God to be faithful to you and discover for yourself that He will be faithful to you through all situations.
