God is Committed To Your Success

But what is a success?

For most people is involved, money, influence, status and how many followers you have on Instagram.  (Yea, that last one is real.)

But what is "success" according to God?

Genesis 39:2 The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master.

To get everyone up to speed, Joseph was abducted by his brothers and sold into slavery. (Yes, they had family problems.)  As a slave, he is sold to an Egyptian named Potifer.  God calls him successful.

So what is "success"?

Obey - John 14:15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.  Obedience comes from a heart of submission and humility.  Both are big keys to your success.

Friendship - John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.  You have a relationship with your doctor or with your professor.  But you probably wouldn't call it a friendship.  Jesus wants a friendship with you.  He's better than your doctor.

Transformed - Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what the will of God is, what is good and acceptable and perfect.  As Jesus changes your life, mind, soul, and heart to be more like Him - you will be moving closer to success.

Serve - 1 Peter 4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:  With the love, humility, servanthood and giving heart that Christ has given you, help each other passionately.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, help me to be a success today.  AMEN
