Psalm 56:8-9 8 You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? 9 Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me.
God notices when we cry. More importantly He cares why. We live in a world that demands that we be hard, frozen and unemotional. Don’t allow anyone or anything to get to you. But that isn’t real is it?
What makes you cry? Is it the pain in a loved ones eyes? The homeless on the street? A friends broken heart. Compassion, even pity are God like characteristics. But chances are that what makes you cry is a sign of something more significant. Your human. Your emotional. That there is a special place in your heart for someone or something.
So go ahead and cry. Pay attention to who or what you are crying for. It is quite possible that has placed a soft spot in your heart there for a reason. So, follow your tears.
PRAY. Dear Jesus, if I am going to cry, let my tears be for you. AMEN
