Ugh It's Monday!

Gen 3:17 ....cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;

It's Monday, and everyone is excited to go to work today.  Not.

According to cleverpedia.com

- We expect Monday to be awful.  Researchers in Australia found that people remembered feeling the worst on Monday, even though when they actually rated their feelings day to day they found no difference between any of the days of the week.
- Most of us don’t crack a smile until 11:16am.
- You will spend 12 minutes just complaining that it’s Monday.
- If you are between the ages of 45 and 54, you complain the most.
- Half of us are late for work.
- We’ll only get 3.5 hours of work done anyway.

Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden. Most people think that everything was handed to them and that they didn't have to do anything. That's not true. They did work. But after they ate from the tree God said that their work would become challenging.

It isn't that we don't like work, it's the resistance we experience when we try to accomplish it that bothers us so much.  Before you blame Adam and Eve for their sin remember you were a sinner too.  Sin makes life harder than it is supposed to be. So what can you do?

Col 3:23 - 24 Work like you are working for Jesus.  Do your best for Him, even though it's Monday and you don't feel like it.

Phil 4:19 Yes, God shall supply all your needs. Have you ever thought about giving those problematic issues you're facing at work to Him?

Phil 2:14 Do everything without griping or complaining. Watch your attitude. That alone can turn your job around.

PRAY: Dear Jesus, help me to get through this day with a great attitude that honors You.  AMEN
