These Are The Days . . .

As I sit here in my office, I can hear the lyrics to the song, These Are The Days of Elijah.

These are the days of Elijah, declaring the word of the Lord,
And these are the days of Your servant, Moses, righteousness being restored
These are the days of great trials, of famine and darkness and sword
Still we are the voice in the desert crying, prepare ye the way of the Lord!

And these are the days of Ezekiel, the dry bones becoming as flesh
And these are the days of Your servant, David, Rebuilding the temple of praise
And these are the days of the harvest, the fields are all white in the world
And we are the laborers that are in Your vineyard
Declaring the Word of the Lord

1 Peter 4:7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.
As a kid, I remember the pastor of my church, Pastor Jech, saying the first Sunday of every year.  This is the year that Jesus will return.  Part of that phrase would scare me.  "Wow!  Will I be ready?"  Part of that phrase would disappoint me.  "I hadn't lived my life yet!"  Part of that phrase would excite me!  "I'm going to meet Jesus!"
They are your days!  You can do great things with them!  The days that lay before you are the best you could ever hope for.  I know that such words make me sound like a motivational coach.  But they are true!  You can do so much more with your life right now!  Jesus has paved the way for you.  Follow Him and see what new wonders you will experience in 2018.

PRAY:  Dear Jesus, show me the way to the life you have in sort for me.  AMEN
