Someone recently asked me, "What do you do in those times?" My response was, "Keep your hands and feet inside at all times and wait until the ride has come to a full and complete stop!"
They laughed and said, "No really!?!"
I said, "I wasn't joking."
You may feel like your life is out of control. It might be, but it doesn't have to stay that way.
John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
#1 - Have Patience
If your life is a runaway freight train, then you have to understand. It's going to take some time to
stop it. A 150-car freight train traveling 50 miles per hour takes 1.5 miles to stop. An 8-car passenger train traveling 79 miles per hour takes 1 1/8 miles to stop. The faster you are going, the longer it is going to take.
Take some time to get alone. "But you don't understand! I don't have the time to do that!" That's a big problem. You will never get a reality check on your life until you step away from it long enough to see.
Find a tour guide. You're not the first people to go through this, and you will not be the last. Ask close friends or family for their assistance. Don't worry, you will know which person is right for you.
Make some sacrifices. Every time you say "yes" to something you've said "no" to something else. If you need some room, you're going to have to make it.
PRAY: Dear Jesus, my life is a little crazy right now. I need some breathing room for my life. Help me to make the right decisions. AMEN.
